KEEN Utility Introduces a New Sure-Fit, Sure-Footed, Heavy-Duty Wedge Sole for the Work Site

   Portland, Ore. (April 7, 2020) - The rigors of heavy-duty work environments require footwear built tough to take on the day. New for 2020, KEEN Utility is introducing a heavy-duty work boot that provides supreme durability and stability without sacrificing the comfort and protection that the brand is known for. The all-new Cincinnati from KEEN Utility is a wedge soled work boot built for high-performing tradesmen and women looking for a performance upgrade from their standard wedge work boots.

In designing the Cincinnati, KEEN Utility integrated a full-grain, waterproof Barnyard-resistant leather upper developed to withstand the ruthlessness of the construction site and resist the damaging effects of oleic acid, urea, sodium chloride and ammonium hydroxide. The boot features the signature KEEN Utility hiking-inspired fit paired with a comfortable, breathable and durable collar, for an out-of-the-box fit that doesn’t require any break-in time. With its rugged, moc-toe look, the Cincinnati is constructed with a true Goodyear welt for enhanced durability under extreme working conditions and dependable underfoot stability.

For the ultimate in lightweight comfort, the Cincinnati features the KEEN Luftcell air-infused polyurethane midsole. Inside the boot, a removable, dual-density PolyAer footbed with an aerated pillow-top cushioning adds to the overall comfort fit while safety comes from the left and right asymmetrical, non-metallic carbon-fiber toes that are 15% lighter than steel.

Other performance and safety features include the KEEN.Dry waterproof, breathable membrane, a unique addition of oil- and slip-resistant non-marking, EH-rated rubber outsole that satisfy Mark II and Satra non-slip testing standards, which isn’t typical in this traditional style of work boot, and a Cleansport NXT lining providing natural odor protection free of chemicals and perfumes, and locking metal lace hooks.

The KEEN Utility Cincinnati work boot is available in the 6-inch height with the carbon toe ($185) as well as a soft toe version ($180).
