XL Specialized Trailers Launches XL Power Tail at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 in Las Vegas
MANCHESTER, Iowa (March 10, 2020) – XL Specialized Trailers will showcase the XL Power Tail trailer at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, March 10-14, in Las Vegas. The trailer features a hydraulic tail to help transport hard-to-load equipment.
With a load angle of only 10 degrees, the hydraulic tail is equipped to easily load manlifts, rollers, forklifts and paving equipment. Rated at 80,000 pounds overall and 50,000 pounds concentrated in 10 feet, this model is ideal for heavy and medium-sized equipment. The tail also features a lifting capacity of 25,000 pounds for loads centered on the main platform.
The unique hydraulic tail design includes two sections: an 8-foot 8-inch platform ramp and a 60-inch flip tail. Lug-style hinges keep hinge points clean as it prevents debris from accumulating.
The Power Tail comes in two lengths: 48 feet with a 30-foot 4-inch main deck or 53 feet with a 35-foot 4-inch main deck. Both configurations offer a loaded deck height of 36 inches.
The Power Tail includes a 9-foot hydraulic pop-up ramp connecting the deck to the gooseneck, as well as a foot hole and grab handle on each side for access to the upper deck.
The new trailer offers a host of features for convenience on the job, such as a work light at the rear of the neck for better visibility at night. The unit has a two-function wireless remote for the winch and two toolboxes with lids. Tie-down options include five d-rings per side, stake pockets and chain slots on alternating 24-inch centers and sides, as well as chain slots down on 48-inch centers on the center deck.
“The XL Power Tail is a slick trailer that makes hauling hard-to-load equipment a simple and efficient process,” said Tom Hiatt, director of sales at XL Specialized Trailers. “We’re looking forward to showcasing this unit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.”
XL Specialized Trailers will feature the XL Power Tail trailer along with three other new trailers at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.
