OEM Data Delivery recently launched a market-changing technology with its Mobile Equipchat equipment data tracking app.

Mobile Equipchat, now available on Android (and soon to be available through Apple), has customizable electronic forms that replace paper versions. It allows customers to capture equipment data remotely through simple pre-filled templates. A few examples include safety reports, equipment inspections and corrective action reports. Each form allows the user to take equipment pictures, capture signatures and stamp their GPS location.

“Some equipment managers operate their fleet through the use of pen and paper or spreadsheets,” explains Sam Simons, President of OEM Data Delivery. “Equipchat moves that capability to the web and Mobile Equipchat extends it to mobile devices with the use of automated forms and reports.”

Using manual entry and/or wireless fuel and hour meters from OEM Data Delivery, customers are able to capture extensive data for analysis and decision making through Mobile Equipchat, which can be easily accessed via smart phone or tablet. Used in tandem with Equipchat, customers can feel reliably plugged into their fleet data on their computers and mobile devices.

Mobile Equipchat’s easy-to-use forms, lists and reports enable customers to deal with issues related to equipment availability, utilization, maintenance, safety, and fuel accountability efficiently. The mobile app utilizes the latest data capture technology using Near Field Communications (NFC), RFID and barcode scanning.

“We provide solutions for off-highway companies that are frustrated with remote equipment monitoring and expensive, untrustworthy data collection methods,” Simons added. “Mobile Equipchat fits in well with our rugged tracking and data capture devices for equipment hours, location, fuel, engine idling, and inspections.”

Other recent solutions offered by OEM include MiniPOD and MiniPOD Fuel, which let users track equipment, hours, location, and fuel spend. Keypad allows customers field data entry with cellular tracking capabilities. Learn more about OEM Data Delivery’s other products.
