INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (March 2015) ““ Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment has launched two new tampers, the MS595 and MS695, to the North American marketplace. Featuring more power and less noise, the MS595 and MS695 tampers can be utilized in trenches, building sites, and road construction. A new six-inch foot size version on the MS595 joins the traditional nine-inch and 11-inch models, providing more versatility on the jobsite.
Built with a large fuel tank for longer runtime, the new tampers are equipped with a brand new Honda four-stroke GX R120 3.6 horsepower (hp) engine. The engines were developed and built for reliable performance in the toughest conditions. Tailor-made for tampers, the engines give operators more power and good fuel economy and feature a dedicated lubrication system. To reduce the noise level, Chicago Pneumatic designed a new compact muffler and overhead camshaft design, which not only reduces noise but also significantly diminishes both hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxide emissions to meet environmental standards.
Featuring a sleek, slim build, the MS595 and MS695 also include narrow handles, which allow operators to get closer to obstacles and work in confined spaces as well as narrow trenches. The constricted design not only allows operators to work in tight quarters, but the design also strikes a perfect balance that requires minimal effort and provides exceptional maneuverability for all jobs.
For better operability, Chicago Pneumatic added safeguards and enhanced serviceability features, taking the guesswork completely out of the operation. Not only does the new LED indicator warn the operator if the oil level is too low, but it also prevents the tamper from starting before oil is added to prevent costly engine damage. It also features a three-position throttle and engine control lever, allowing the operator to switch to idle with just one hand. From a serviceability standpoint, the innovative high-capacity air filter is easy to reach and clean without any tools, making daily checks quick and simple. The large filter prevents dust from entering the engine, which keeps performance high and engine wear at a minimum.
The MS595 and MS695 join CP’s tamper lineup along with the MS680 and MS840. They are now available from authorized Chicago Pneumatic equipment dealers across the country.
